Island Layout
Amilla Maldives occupies a large, forested private island in Baa Atoll, arranged along an east to west axis. Overwater villas extend on jetties to the west and northwest, the sunset side, while beach villas line the northern shore. The main dining, wellness and activity venues cluster through the centre, close to the marina arrivals point on the southern shore. The Amilla Residences run along the eastern, sunrise arm.
The house reef wraps much of the island with calmer snorkelling along the western and northern lagoon, while strong currents are marked on the southern and eastern edges. With one of the greenest interiors of any Maldives resort, guests move around by bicycle or buggy.
Villa Categories & Locations
Overwater (sunset side): Reef Water Pool Villas sit above the house reef on the northwestern arm, Lagoon Water Pool Villas line the southwestern jetty over the calm lagoon, and Sunset Water Pool Villas face open water for uninterrupted sunsets.
On the island: Beach Pool Villas run along the northern shore with direct beach access, while Treetop Pool Villas are raised among the greenery toward the centre for privacy and canopy views.
Residences: Multi-bedroom Beach Residences and the flagship Amilla Estate sit on the eastern side, suited to families and full-island buyouts.
Dining, Wellness & the House Reef
Amilla’s restaurants and bars, including Feeling Koi, Baa Bar and the beach and lagoon venues, sit centrally near the arrivals marina, alongside the Javvu Spa, fitness studios and the Sultan’s Kids Village Club. The dive centre and Marine Centre support house reef snorkelling, with marked spots for eagle rays, reef sharks and the resident turtles around the island.
